Orphanage receives essential donation

EGE Haina donated surplus home appliances to Casa Rosada, a home established to care for HIV-positive orphans in the Dominican Republic. Located just outside of the capital, Santo Domingo, it is the only home of its kind in the country. The new appliances included a stove and washer/dryer.

Having supported Casa Rosada in the past, a much-needed donation was made to the orphanage. In a note to Tito Sanjuro, General Manager of Haina, Sister Carmen Veiga, Director of the Casa Rosada, mentioned that the donated appliances will help solve some of the problems that the Casa has faced in taking care of the 34 children at the home.

Being the largest private investor in EGE Haina, Globeleq has management responsibility for the company.
