LHPC is constructing a 27 MWp solar plant in Zambia’s Central Province, designed to operate alongside the existing Lunsemfwa hydropower station as Zambia’s first solar–hydro hybrid facility.
Construction began in September 2025, with completion expected by May 2026, after which the plant will feed power directly into the national grid. The project strengthens energy security and forms part of LHPC’s growing renewable‑energy portfolio.
